as announced last week we would to share with you more details as how our products are assembled.

Most of you probably just assumed that our Collector's Editions are ready-made boxes and the inner parts like the inlays are done by machines. In the past we have tried out a few but not one solution was to our satisfaction.

The video below shows how the outer box is assembled; the inner tray and the respective inlays containing each part are being crafted in a similar way. You can get an idea how much effort flows into each part. Same goes for the small sleeves for Switch and PlayStation, as well as for the boxes of our retro games.

先週のブログ記事でお伝えしました通り、弊社がどのようにパッケージ版製品の組み立てをしているかについて公開します。

まず、下の動画からは、外箱をどのように組み立てているかをザっと早回しですがご覧いただけます。これまでに、弊社のパッケージ版は手作り・手作業だとお伝えしてまいりましたが、

『箱などは機械でパッパと折れるものだろう』

というご意見がとても多いです。
一生モノとして完成された高品質な製品且つ高さが同じでも幅が違う（特にコレクターズエディション）ため微妙な調整が必要になるので、いかに丁寧に組み立てているかをご理解いただけるかと思います。
内側のトレイと各パーツを収めるインレイも同様の方法で作られており、SwitchとPlayStationのスリーブやレトロ系ゲームの箱やインレイも然りです。
すべてカスタム仕様なので機械で折れる物は一つもありません。

As for the progress of all already announced but not yet shipped games, we are currently assembling the 22 versions of Collector's Editions that were initially scheduled to ship begin of the year. It was planned to manufacture the second batch of the CEs (Psychotic Adventures, Underhero, MindSeize, Crimzon Clover and Sydney Hunter) around May and ship Chained Echoes and Goodboy Galaxy between the first and second batch of the CEs but the long delay impacted everything.

Unfortunately, as we have already stated several times before, the printing company who is also in charge of the punches for the CE inlays was facing difficulties and kept pushing everything back on a weekly basis. If they had postponed the Collector's Editions by a half year from the beginning it would be possible for us to change our schedule and ship other products earlier. But our planning was eventually too advanced to make such a big change and there was no way around it anymore.

On the other hand, we are more than happy that will not be facing such issues in the future anymore as all required punch units have been successfully manufactured and the problems with the Switch sleeve color were solved, too.

We are now going full speed with the assembly (by hand) and will successively announce the shipping schedule and other details via our newsletter. Among the 22 different versions there are also ones that haven't been announced yet; we are sure that you will love them.

現在は、22種類のコレクターズエディション(以下CE)を組み立て中です。これらは当初、年始に発送する予定だったものです。
元々の計画では、今回の22種類の発送分のあと、次の発送予定だった作品（サイコティック・アドベンチャーズ・オリジンズ、アンダーヒーロー、マインド・シーズ、クリムゾン・クローバーとシドニー・ハンター）を５月中に組み立て終え、チェインド・エコーズとグッドボーイ・ギャラクシーを最初の発送分と次の発送分の間にお届けする…という運びでした。
しかし、長きにおよぶ生産の遅れが、この計画全体に大きな影響を及ぼしていきました。

CEのインレイの加工も担当している印刷会社が技術上の理由による困難に直面し、弊社への納期に間に合わず多くの作業が毎週毎週延期され続けていました。

最初からCEの発送を当初の予定より半年延期していれば、他製品を早く発送することは可能でしたが、大規模な生産スケジュールの変更をするには、他の作業や工程が余りにも早く進みすぎており、弊社は生産スケジュールを変更してまで後戻りすると言う選択肢はできませんでした。

ですが、現段階では既にCEのインレイの加工準備が終わり、Switchの外ケースの色の問題も解決されました。（弊社が指定した色がどの印刷会社でも再現できずにおりました。加えて指定したサイズではない物の納品から全差し戻しなどのトラブルが続いていました）
今日まで、箱の組み立て作業を迅速かつ丁寧に進めております。

以降の進捗やお知らせに関してもニュースレターとこのブログで順次発表していく予定です。
22種類のCEの中には未発表のものもありますが、お気に入りいただけるのではと思います。
